Privacy Policy

RADIO FM LLC ("Radio FM", "we") broadcasts radio and publishes a newspaper and magazines. Media work involves listeners, readers, subscribers, contest participants, advertisers and the people we report on. This policy explains how we treat their data under the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection", the Law of Ukraine "On Media", and the GDPR where applicable.

2. Listeners and readers who contact us

When you call a live show, send a message or write a letter, we process your name, contact details and what you say. Calls to live programmes may be broadcast and recorded; by calling, you agree to this. We use only your first name on air or in print unless you agree otherwise, and never broadcast your phone number.

3. Contests and giveaways

Participants provide their name and phone number. Winners provide identity details needed to hand over a prize and, where the law requires, for tax reporting. Winners' first names and city may be announced. Data of non-winners is deleted 30 days after the contest ends.

4. Subscribers

We process name, delivery address or email, subscription period and payment records.

5. Advertisers

We process business contacts of advertisers and agencies, orders and invoices, and broadcast and publication confirmations.

6. Journalism and sources

Our reporting may include personal data of people in the news. Such processing is carried out for journalistic purposes in the public interest, in line with media legislation and professional standards. We protect the confidentiality of our sources, and information identifying a confidential source is never disclosed except as strictly required by law.

7. Purposes and grounds

Producing and distributing programmes and publications (legitimate interest and freedom of expression), performing subscription and advertising contracts (contract), contests (consent and contract), and legal obligations (tax, media regulation, archiving of broadcasts).

8. Recipients

Delivery services, payment providers, printing houses (subscriber addresses only), tax authorities and media regulators where required. We do not sell listener, reader or subscriber data.

9. Retention

  • Broadcast recordings: for the period required by media legislation.
  • Listener messages not used on air: 3 months.
  • Contest data: 30 days after the contest, winners as required for tax purposes.
  • Subscription records: term plus 1 year.

10. Your rights

You may access, correct and delete your data (subject to legal retention and journalistic exemptions), restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy and withdraw consent. You may also request correction of inaccurate published information about you. We reply within 30 days. Complaints may be addressed to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or an EU supervisory authority.
